Not only will you successfully manage to gain valuable work experience, but you’ll also learn both practical skills and theory at a local college and achieve industry standard qualifications and have the opportunity to become ‘Time Served’ and continue to a long and prosperous career with a global innovative and fast moving organisation.
Diageo are looking for apprentices who not only have the capability to succeed in our organisation today but also have the potential to be our leaders of tomorrow. They are looking for someone who is committed to the role and Diageo from day one.
In order to do this, Diageo are looking for candidates to achieve the required standard of technical knowledge and ability to become a competent Mechanical or Electrical Engineer. They are also looking for someone to demonstrate a full understanding of the site processes and work diligently towards gaining a Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering NVQ/SVQ at Level 3, as issued by an approved body and to achieve a Higher National Certificate. Whilst working for Diageo you will be required to always adhere to Diageo Health and Safety & Compliance Policies and uphold Diageos Vision and Values.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Minimum of 3 National 5’s at a ‘C’ pass (N5 Grade 6 or above) or above (to include Maths and English).
Must qualify for Modern Apprentice programme criteria (as detailed on Skills Development Scotland) (Age 16+)
Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Positive and flexible attitude
Ability to demonstrate strong work ethos both individually and as part of a team
General computer system knowledge and experience preferred – ability to functionally use Microsoft packages such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint are beneficial.
Full UK driving license is preferable but not essential.
Can be a part served apprentice
