Skills Exchange Scotland, in partnership with New College Lanarkshire, are offering pupils the opportunity to work towards a Modern Apprenticeship in Hospitality as a Chef. Successful completion of this pre-apprenticeship course will lead to a Modern Apprenticeship in Food Preparation Level 2 with Lanarkshire Catering School. See below for more details.

|Details||The company is initially offering a 6 – 8 week work placement which would be done through the Employability Fund Stage 2 delivered by Skills Exchange Scotland
The successful applicant would be working with the head chef and kitchen team in the staff restaurant. This would involve all types of food preparation for breakfasts, lunches and breaks.

|Hours||7.00 am – 3.00 pm Monday – Friday
Note : Placement would be done over 4 days a week.
|Funding||On Employability Fund Stage 2 the young person would receive £55 per week plus travel costs and chef clothing
|Eligibility||Young person must have reached their official school leaving date
Aged 16 – 19 ( due to MA funding criteria )
