DYW – There’s more to the NHS than a medical career – NHS Apprenticeship Opportunities – surprise yourself.

The NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is currently accepting applications for its highly sought after Modern Apprenticeship programme (MA) with 50 places now available.

The programme, delivered in partnership with Glasgow Clyde College, has already recruited more than one hundred young people over a broad range of job roles since it was launched in 2013.

NHSGGC is looking to recruit trainees aged 16-24, or up to the age of 29 for those with a disability, across a range of sites and services. There are opportunities in:

  • Administration and Finance
  • Engineering
  • Health & Safety
  • Pharmacy Services
  • Decontamination Services
  • Hospital and Community based Health Care Support.

This programme gives young people access to high quality training and nationally recognised qualifications. Apprenticeships have proven to be an extremely successful tool in attracting, training and retaining new employees across hospital, community and corporate services.

Successful applicants will receive on the job training and work towards qualifications in business and administration, accounting, health and safety, healthcare support, engineering, plumbing, pharmacy services and procurement.
