Trinity High School is extremely excited about the prospect of teaming up again with Robertson Construction, thanks to Clyde Gateway, to deliver another programme of ‘Get into Engineering’.
‘Get into Engineering’ is a 10 week programme completed between school and college with opportunities to visit live engineering projects. The programme has been running successfully for the last 5 years and gives pupils access to opportunities to take part in site work, attend Glasgow Kelvin College and university site visits. Pupils can expect training on Health and Safety and Manual Handling as well as classroom based activities designed to test employability skills such as communication, leadership and problem solving.
This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone in S5 and an excellent addition to any CV or application form for anyone considering a career in engineering or applying for entry on to an engineering based university course. Click here to see last years group on site.
An initial site visit is scheduled for WC 23 October 2017 for full briefing from Robertson Construction.
Anyone interested in attending should give their name to Mr McCarthy no later than Friday, 13 October.
