Thinking about leaving school? – Aspire Works!

AspireWorks is a new Government led programme that’s being delivered through the Young Person’s Guarantee Funding.  It’s a post school programme for young people age 16-19 who are looking for employment and most importantly are able to sustain a 2-4 day work placement.

Is this of interest to you?

Aspire Works are looking for more young people to get on board. Perhaps you have returned to school in August but would leave if you had a more suited offer in place.

If this sounds like you then here’s your opportunity!

So what’s involved?

The programme will be delivered at stages 3 and 4 of the employability skills pipeline and will involve the following activity:

  • Key work support,
  • Employability skills development
  • Supported work placements with training allowance
  • Job brokerage – including linking to available Employer Recruitment Incentives
  • Work based / employability certification and qualifications
  • Aftercare / in-work support

If you want to take advantage of this you should speak with your Pupils Support teacher, Mr McCarthy or the Careers Adviser.

When Aspire receive your referral, you will be allocated to one of the Vocational Development Workers who will then make contact with you directly.
