Interested in Nursing, Medicine, Midwifery? – NHS Volunteering

Volunteering in NHS Lanarkshire

Ward-based volunteering roles in NHS Lanarkshire’s acute hospitals will restart after many were suspended during the first phase of the Covid-19 restrictions. While many long-term volunteers have restarted, there are a number of vacancies on all three acute hospital sites for new volunteers who may wish to gain experience in a patient-facing environment.

Volunteering is an ideal way for someone over the age of 16 to gain experience in a healthcare environment, or even see if a healthcare environment is for them or not. It is particularly helpful for anyone who is interested in applying for medicine, nursing, midwifery or any of the allied health professions.

Volunteers will need to go the same recruitment process as staff but the first stage is to register an interest using the online link
