S1 WIDER ACHIEVEMENT

 

LILLIE-MAY LOUGHRAN

Lillie-May placed 3rd at the International Freestyle Dance Championships in October and 5th at the Ultimate Championships in November.

LIAM MAGUIRE

Liam has now achieved 8 years of successful gradings in Karate.

EVIE CONNELLY

Evie is a recent silver medallist winner in Scottish Gymnastics.

FYNN STEWART

Fynn has been invited to trial for the Scottish National Team for Basketball.  He is also one of 3 team captains for the Gladiators U14 Scottish Basketball Team.

KIAN O’NEIL

Kian won the Scottish Golden Gloves in Boxing, making him the Scottish Champion in the 34kg category.

ORLA MCGINLEY

Orla won 1st place for Junior Song & Dance at the City of Glasgow TDCI Championships.  Orla is also currently in panto rehearsals for Jock and the Beanstalk at the Pavillion in Glasgow as a junior ensemble dancer.

  

HAJIRA REHMAN

Hajira is currently learning languages as well as taking part in lots of art activities.

S2 WIDER ACHIEVEMENT

 

OLIVIA DONNELLY

Olivia has been invited to participate in matches against Brighton and Portsmouth for Hamilton Academical Women and Girls.

SOPHIA MCLACHLAN

Sophia has been selected to represent the national squad in the Coerver Cup.

KALLUM HUNTER

Kallum took part in the Professor Chang Un Cup which is a Tae Kwon Do competition.  He won Gold for special technique and Silver for Sparring.

ROSA VENTRE

Rosa has had to deal with the recent loss of her great-grandmother, her grandfather and her auntie.  Through this, Rosa has continued to focus on her schoolwork whilst also being a great support to others in her family.

The girls represented the school at the Aid to the Church in Need Annual Mass at Our Lady of Good Aid Cathedral in November.

AVA MURPHY

Ava recently received an award in English for being "ready to learn".

CHARLIE ROBERTSON

Charlie has been selected for the Scottish National Debating Junior Squad for 2025/26 following an application process.

S4 WIDER ACHIEVEMENT

 

MARC DOCHERTY

Marc attended summer camp at Yale University.  He excelled in creative writing whilst there and achieved an award for Tennis.

ABBY LOUGHRIE

Abby has achieved the following accolades: Tennis-under 18’s girls doubles winner for Newlands tennis club - October 25, Mixed doubles winner (adults) for Cambuslang -September 25, Under 16s girls doubles winner Glasgow Southside Interclub - August 25.

NATANIEL KUTKIEWICZ

Nataniel has reached the Scottish Cup Finals for the National Scottish Basketball League (U16s) with his team – Glasgow Rens.

S5/S6 WIDER ACHIEVEMENT

 

BELLA LANG

Bella is a member of the South Lanarkshire Choir.  She also attends the Royal Conservatoire School for Musical Theatre and has taken part in many stage shows.

KATIE GAFFNEY

Katie recently passed Grade 7 violin with Merit

LUCAS CRAW

Lucas Craw took part in the West District Short Course Championships Swimming competition in Dumfries. He made 2 finals and got a bronze medal in the 200 Meter IM race.

LILA-ROSE BOYD

Lila Rose has qualified with her team at SLS for the All Star Worlds in Florida for Hip Hop - she will be competing there in April 2026.

CARLA WATSON

Carla represented our school to reflect on Catholic Education at St Columbkilles Church.

ABIGALE STRANG

Abigale has been selected to play clarinet in the West of Scotland School Orchestra.

CLUBS & GROUPS

 

TEACH THE TEACHER

Our Eco-Group recently presented to all staff at the November Inset Day.  They were teaching us all about climate change and sustainability and how we can incorporate this into our classrooms.

GIRLS FOOTBALL

Our S1/2 team qualified for the South-West Regional Tournament, winning 4 out of 4 games and finishing top of their group. Goals from Darcey, Katie, Karis, Maisy and Mia. S3/4 team made it through to the playoff after coming in second place in their group. Goals from Olivia and Sophie.

U15 FOOTBALL TEAM

Our U15 Football team continue to give it their all when representing the school.  They won 2-1 against Calderside HS in their second league game recently.

YOUNG PERFORMER 2025

THS Junior Musician: Christopher Brazenall (S2) who played piano.
Runners up: Erin Stewart (S1) and Darcey King (S2) who played a clarinet duet.

THS Senior Musician:  Matthew Brazenall (S4) who played electric guitar. Runner up: Imogen Millar (S6) on fiddle.


THS Vocalist of the year: Sophie McCluskey (S6)
Runner up: Iona McArthur (S3)


THS Drama Performer of the Year: Amber Keenan (S6)
Runner up: Aiden Donnelly (S5)

CARITAS GROUP

Oliver McCormack and Andrew Osisanya, who are part of the S6 Caritas class, recently attended Carfin Grotto to lead the parishioners in the Holy Rosary
