ICAS Foundation – Making a Difference

Bursaries of up to £10,000 payable over 4 years available

ICAS Foundation is a charity and they have bursary funding to award this year to eligible pupils. To date ICAS have awarded £722,000 in bursary funding. The ICAS Foundation is a body that has been established by ICAS (Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland) to make a significant difference to academically talented young people from disadvantaged communities by helping them take their first steps into a professional career in accountancy or finance.

Younger people from disadvantaged communities are under-represented at university level across Scotland and, in particular, on courses that lead to a life-long profession. ICAS, as one of the leading professional accountancy bodies in the world, believes that it can do more to open up access to the accountancy profession and has helped establish the Foundation to help do just that.

*   On offer are bursaries of up to £2,500 per academic year for students studying Accountancy or          Finance degree.

*   Students with parental income below £34,000 are eligible to apply.

If you meet the criteria and are due/expect to start a university course, studying accountancy or finance this year. ICAS would be interested in helping you.

ICAS are now accepting applications for bursary funding.

The closing date for applications is 19 May 2016.

Application forms together with guidance is available on our website http://www.icasfoundation.org.uk/. This charity is available to pupils who have been offered a place at University (conditional or unconditional) to study Accountancy and Finance and are eligible to apply.
